Each episode features one host's culinary adventure to intriguing destinations in the Nordic countries and beyond. La Fountain travels to the Russian border of Finland to learn about the region's local customs and foods; Nordström prepares a delicious meal amid the fjords of western Norway; Viestad journeys aboard an old sailing vessel as it transports distilled spirits from Oslo; and Meyer prepares blinis (thin pancakes) in a lighthouse in Denmark.

Perfect Day was debuting on American public television stations September this year and will run for a long tim (check local listings) broadens the scope of Scandinavian cuisine to encompass the delicacies and destinations of the entire Nordic region, including Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark - and even a brief foray to the Cognac region of France.
