Newcomer and half American half Finish Sara La Fountain is now joining the all-star cast from Perfect Day's forerunner - New Scandinavian Cooking. Sara is new to the U.S. public, but in her home country she is an established media personality with her own ten-episode cooking show "Avec Sara" broadcasted in 2005 on Finnish TV channel MTV3.

Since launching her own business, Sara has catered a numerous corporate clients. The cooking classes she teaches are tailored to the nature of each occasion and planned around the finest seasonal ingredients available. The classes are all about learning to make new dishes and drinks and having fun doing it!

Sara is currently designing a signature line of dinnerware for the Finnish kitchenware company Luhta Home. The line is called "Ala Sara" and consists of an exciting range of pattern designs. Sara has also designed different kitchen textiles for Luhta Home (aprons etc), and she is now working on a new line of professional kitchen shoes with colorful prints, for the Swedish company Ejandals.

Sara attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York, one of the worlds premier cooking colleges. She published her first cookbook also entitled "Ala Sara" in October 2005. The first print run sold out quickly and in May 2006 the book was selected winner of the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards category of "Best First Cookbook".. This fall she released a new book for the finish market "Täydellinen Päivä", collected from the Perfect Day-series. And a second English book will be ready for launch within short.

Sara has published recipes and articles for several newspapers and for leading Finnish magazines "Seura" and "Ilta-Sanomat".
